Forest Research Institute
Forest Research Institute (FRI) is one of the most
important points of interest in Dehradun. It is located on a lush campus and spread
over 450 hectares. The FRI is the one of the oldest institutes in India which
was constructed by the British .The main attraction is its main building which
is National Heritage and styled in Greeko Roman Architecture .It is comprises
of Museum on forestry such as Pathology Museum,Social forestry Museum ,Silviculture
Museum.
IMA
IMA is known as Indian Military Academy is the
officer training Academy of the Indian Army.IMA is located 8km west of Dehradun
near FRI .The IMA building is known as Chetwode building after the name of
Field Marshal Sir Philip Chetwode .The Academy has Museum,Library,War Memorial, Arms
and ammunition ,Shooting demonstration room ,FRIMS Golf Course for tourists interest.
Clement Town
Clement Town is situated 9km south of Dehradun in
Uttarakhand famous for Buddha Temple which housing the world’s largest stupa
.One of the major attraction of this monastery is its stupa which is known as
the Great Stupa which was constructed for world peace .The art work of the
stupa is a magnificent example of Buddhist art.
Regional Science Center
Regional Science Center is a science park which
educates as well as entertains visitors.It is located in Vigyan Dham Prem Nagar,
Dehradun.It is a place to expand the knowledge. It includes Dinosaurs Park,a
Himalayan Gallery ,a 3D Theatre and a library.
